Will razor bumps go away with IPL hair removal?
Yes, with each treatment the hair becomes thinner and will grow back slower. 

How painful is doing a Brazilian IPL hair removal treatment?
At The Laser Studio we use a cooling machine to blow cold air onto the treated area. This will help with any pain or discomfort you may feel during the treatment. Most clients are comfortable during the procedure and say this it is a similar feeling to an elastic band snapping onto your skin.

How many treatments will I need?
Between 6-12 treatments may be needed. The amount of treatments will vary with each person.

Does it remove all the hair permanently?
IPL hair removal treatment targets the hairs that you have. However, your body will still be able to produce new hairs due to changes in your health or medications.

Can you wax before a treatment?
If a client prefers waxing, over shaving, it is recommended to wax the area 2-4 weeks before a treatment. This allows enough time for the hairs to return and for an effective treatment.

How far apart are treatments?
Treatments for the face are scheduled for every 4-6 weeks. Treatments for the rest of the body are scheduled every 6-8 weeks.

What should I avoid doing BEFORE a IPL hair removal treatment?
Avoid tanning, spray tanning and/or sun exposure 1-2 weeks before. Do not exercise the day of your treatment. Do not pluck or wax 2-4 weeks before. Avoid retinol products or direct acids 1-2 weeks before.

What should I avoid doing AFTER a IPL hair removal treatment?
Keep the skin cool. Avoid sun exposure 1-2 weeks after. Avoid exercise and hot showers 24hrs after. Avoid chemical peels or direct acids 1-2 weeks after.

Is there down time with a Microdermabrasion Facial?
No, micooderambasion is a safe procedure with noticeable results immediately afterwards.

Is there down time with a Chemical Peel?
Light chemical peels do not require much down time. Medium and deep chemical peels can require 2-3 weeks of recovery time
